If you only have one or two requests, you can pause your subscription and use the remaining days later. --- ## Case studies ### ZenCommunity — Video Production URL: https://agency.degird.com/cases/zencommunity Client site: https://zencommunity.pro/ Industry: WordPress · Community & Support Platform **Tagline:** Turning five plugins' worth of features into one clear pitch in under a minute **Summary:** ZenCommunity bundles community discussions, group chat, private messaging, support tickets, and live chat into a single WordPress plugin, replacing the patchwork of separate tools — Facebook Groups, a chat widget, a helpdesk plugin — that site owners and course creators normally stitch together. The challenge was proving that breadth without the product looking unfocused. **Challenge:** With five distinct feature sets living under one plugin, ZenCommunity risked reading as "does everything, explains nothing" on a first visit. The team needed a homepage product intro that made the community-to-support pipeline feel like one connected workflow, not a bullet list of unrelated modules, for WordPress site owners and course creators evaluating it for the first time. **Approach:** We built the intro around a single realistic journey — a member posts in a community discussion, moves into a group chat, and that conversation turns into a tracked support ticket — so viewers see how the pieces connect instead of being told about them separately. Screen-captured UI was cleaned up and paced against real interaction speed, then paired with a voiceover naming the specific tool each step replaces. **Delivered:** - Product intro video for the ZenCommunity homepage - Feature walkthrough covering community setup, chat, and ticket conversion - Animated social banner set for launch promotion **Outcome:** The intro video now runs on ZenCommunity's homepage as the first thing new visitors see, giving the plugin one consistent explanation of how its community, chat, and support features fit together instead of a feature list split across separate pages. ### EmailFunnelAI — Video Production URL: https://agency.degird.com/cases/emailfunnelai Client site: https://www.emailfunnel.ai/ Industry: SaaS · AI Email Marketing **Tagline:** Turning a prompt-to-funnel AI tool into a story people understand in 60 seconds **Summary:** EmailFunnelAI lets marketers describe an audience and a goal in plain language and get back a full email sequence — subject lines, timing, branches, and approval checks — instead of stitching one together by hand. The hard part wasn't the product, it was explaining it fast enough to hold a visitor's attention. **Challenge:** "One prompt, full funnel" is a strong pitch, but it's abstract until someone sees it happen. EmailFunnelAI needed a homepage hero video and onboarding material that made the prompt-to-funnel workflow feel concrete in the first few seconds, without turning into a dry feature list. **Approach:** We scripted the product intro around a single real workflow — describe an offer, watch the sequence, branching logic, and Telegram updates assemble on screen — instead of narrating a feature grid. UI recordings were cleaned up and re-animated so every panel, timing badge, and integration logo reads clearly at a glance, then paired with a fast, confident voiceover. **Delivered:** - 60-second product intro video for the homepage hero - Animated social banner set for launch and retargeting ads - Feature walkthrough tutorials covering funnel building and integrations - Short-form cutdowns optimized for LinkedIn and X **Outcome:** The intro video now anchors the EmailFunnelAI homepage and is reused across onboarding emails and paid social creative, giving the team one consistent visual explanation of the product instead of a different pitch on every channel. ### CloudRx — Video Production URL: https://agency.degird.com/cases/cloudrx Client site: https://crxbd.com/ Industry: HealthTech · Digital Prescriptions **Tagline:** Making a clinical workflow tool feel effortless for doctors who've never used one **Summary:** CloudRx replaces handwritten prescriptions with a digital workflow doctors can complete in under a minute — drug database lookups, diagnosis codes, patient records, and follow-ups in one system. Its users are practicing physicians, many with little patience for software that gets in the way of seeing patients. **Challenge:** Doctors adopting CloudRx needed to see, not read, how fast the new workflow actually is compared to paper. The team also needed short, practice-ready tutorials so new clinics could onboard staff without a live training session for every feature. **Approach:** We built the walkthrough around a real prescription being written start to finish — drug search, dosage, diagnosis code, and digital signature — timed against the platform's actual pace so the 'under 60 seconds' claim is something viewers watch happen, not something they're told. Tutorials were split into short, single-task videos (appointment booking, patient files, multi-chamber setup) so clinics could send staff exactly the clip they needed. **Delivered:** - Product walkthrough video demonstrating the full prescription workflow - Modular tutorial series, one video per core feature - Animated explainer graphics for the DGDA drug database and diagnosis-code lookup - Social and display banner creative for clinic outreach **Outcome:** CloudRx uses the walkthrough as the default first touch for new clinics, and the modular tutorials let their support team point users to a two-minute clip instead of repeating the same onboarding call. ### PixJet — Motion Design URL: https://agency.degird.com/cases/pixjet Client site: https://pixjet.io/ Industry: WordPress · Image CDN & Performance **Tagline:** Explaining server-side image optimization to people who just want a faster site **Summary:** PixJet plugs into WordPress and automatically compresses, watermarks, and delivers images through a global CDN — infrastructure most site owners never think about until their pages load slowly. The challenge was selling speed and image quality without getting lost in CDN jargon. **Challenge:** PixJet's audience — bloggers, photographers, agencies, and store owners — cares about page speed and image quality, not edge networks and GeoDNS routing. The plugin also needed a setup tutorial simple enough that a non-technical site owner could install it without a support ticket. **Approach:** The product intro leads with a visible before/after: a bloated page turning into a fast, sharp one, with the compression and CDN delivery happening as motion in the background rather than the headline. The plugin's install-and-configure flow was captured and re-cut into a short, narrated walkthrough so setup takes minutes, not a support thread. **Delivered:** - Product intro video for the PixJet homepage and WordPress.org listing - Plugin setup & configuration tutorial - Animated banner ad set highlighting compression and CDN speed - Feature-highlight motion graphics for watermarking and lazy loading **Outcome:** PixJet now has a single install tutorial it can link from support responses and the WordPress plugin page, cutting down repetitive setup questions and giving the product a clearer first impression on the homepage. ### Tubeup — Video Production URL: https://agency.degird.com/cases/tubeup Client site: https://degird.com/products/tubeup Industry: Desktop App · YouTube Publishing Automation **Tagline:** Showing a bulk-upload tool beat the manual routine it replaces, in one pass **Summary:** Tubeup is a Windows and macOS desktop app that automates YouTube publishing — bulk uploads with no daily limits, AI-generated titles, descriptions, tags, and hashtags, multi-channel management, and staggered scheduling, all processed locally rather than through the cloud. Its entire pitch is time saved, which is the one thing a screenshot cannot show. **Challenge:** Tubeup's value only registers as a contrast: the manual YouTube Studio loop of uploading one video, writing its metadata, setting a thumbnail, then repeating that across dozens of files and several channels. Creators, faceless-channel operators, and agencies evaluating it had to see that loop collapse — and needed the channel-connection and scheduling steps explained clearly enough to get through a three-day trial without writing in for help. **Approach:** The how-it-works video runs the same job twice: once by hand, then as a batch queued, captioned by the AI metadata step, and scheduled in a single pass — shot against the app's real interface at its real pace, so the time saved is something viewers watch rather than something they're told. The walkthrough was cut per task — connecting channels, running a bulk upload, setting a publishing schedule — so each step can answer one question on its own during first-run setup. **Delivered:** - How-it-works demo video for the Tubeup product page - Feature walkthrough covering channel connection, bulk upload, and AI metadata - Setup tutorial for first-run install and trial onboarding **Outcome:** The demo anchors the "Watch How It Works" section on Tubeup's product page, giving visitors a concrete answer to what the app does before they start the free trial, while the walkthrough gives first-run users somewhere to watch each setup step performed instead of reading it. ### CartResQ — Motion Design URL: https://agency.degird.com/cases/cartresq Client site: https://www.cartresq.com/ Industry: E-commerce · Cart Recovery **Tagline:** Making automated cart recovery feel like a revenue tool, not another marketing plugin **Summary:** CartResQ automatically follows up with shoppers who abandon their cart, recovering revenue that would otherwise disappear. For store owners already juggling a dozen marketing tools, the pitch had to land as 'the money you're leaving on the table,' fast. **Challenge:** "Recover Lost Sales Automatically" needed a visual that made the lost-revenue problem tangible before explaining the fix — most abandoned-cart tools blur together in a merchant's inbox, and CartResQ needed to stand out with clarity rather than another feature list. **Approach:** We opened the explainer on the moment a sale is lost — a cart abandoned mid-checkout — then animated the automated recovery sequence kicking in, so the value is felt before it's explained. Supporting graphics broke the recovery flow into simple, ownable visuals for CartResQ's own marketing site and onboarding emails. **Delivered:** - Product explainer video framed around the lost-sale problem - Animated graphics and banners for the marketing site and email campaigns - Merchant onboarding tutorial covering setup and recovery rules **Outcome:** CartResQ uses the explainer as the lead asset on its homepage and in outbound merchant outreach, giving the sales conversation a 60-second visual instead of a cold pitch. ### TubeOnAI — Video Production URL: https://agency.degird.com/cases/tubeonai Client site: https://tubeonai.com/ Industry: SaaS · AI Content Summarization **Tagline:** Showing, not telling, how one platform turns hours of video into a two-minute read **Summary:** TubeOnAI summarizes and repurposes YouTube videos, podcasts, PDFs, and articles into blog posts, social scripts, and newsletters. With multiple input types and output formats, the risk was a product video that tried to cover everything and explained nothing well. **Challenge:** TubeOnAI needed one clear product intro that demonstrated the core loop — paste a link, get a summary, repurpose it — for both its web app and its Chrome extension, plus shorter clips built for App Store and social placements. **Approach:** We anchored the intro on a single, relatable input (a long YouTube video) and followed it end to end into a summary and a repurposed blog draft, rather than cutting between every supported source type. Feature walkthroughs were recorded separately for channel subscriptions, collections, and multi-language output so each could be used as its own onboarding or App Store asset. **Delivered:** - Product intro video for the homepage and app store listings - Feature walkthrough videos for collections, subscriptions, and repurposing - Animated social banner set for launch promotion **Outcome:** The intro video runs on TubeOnAI's homepage and app store listings, giving prospective users one consistent, concrete answer to "what does this actually do" before they sign up. --- ## Team 12 people, in-house. Lottie is a genuinely good format for shipping vector animation on the web — it's small compared to video, scales without blur, and can be styled at runtime. It's also easy to misuse in a way that quietly wrecks a page's performance. Here's how to keep it fast. ## Keep the source file lean before it ever ships The biggest performance cost usually isn't the Lottie player — it's the JSON file itself. A few things to check in After Effects before export: - **Remove unused layers and expressions.** Anything hidden or unused still gets serialized into the JSON. - **Avoid embedded raster images inside the animation** where a vector shape would do. A single embedded PNG can dwarf the rest of the file. - **Simplify masks and paths.** Overly dense bezier paths (common on auto-traced illustrations) bloat file size without a visible quality gain. A well-optimized marketing-page Lottie animation should usually land well under 100 KB. If yours is several hundred KB, it's worth a pass in [LottieFiles' optimizer](https://lottiefiles.com) or a manual trim in After Effects before it goes anywhere near production. ## Don't ship the Lottie player to every page `lottie-web` and similar players are meaningfully sized JavaScript dependencies. If only one section of one page uses a Lottie animation, that's a client component boundary, not a global import — load the player and the JSON lazily, scoped to the component that needs it, so pages without any animation don't pay for it. Never mark a Lottie player component `priority` or load it above the fold unless it genuinely is the LCP element. Most Lottie use on marketing pages is a supporting visual, not the hero — treat it accordingly. ## Respect `prefers-reduced-motion` A CSS-only `prefers-reduced-motion` media query does nothing to a JavaScript-driven Lottie player — it will keep animating regardless. Read the media query in JS and either skip initializing the player or render a single static frame instead: ```js const reduceMotion = window.matchMedia("(prefers-reduced-motion: reduce)").matches; if (!reduceMotion) { lottie.loadAnimation({ container, path: "/animations/hero.json", autoplay: true, loop: true }); } ``` ## Autoplay carefully An animation that autoplays the moment it enters the viewport, on a page with several of them, adds up to a lot of concurrent rendering work — which shows up as poor INP on lower-end devices. Prefer triggering playback with an `IntersectionObserver` so animations only run while actually visible, and pause them when they scroll out of view. Between a lean source file, a lazily-loaded player, and motion that respects user preferences, Lottie can sit on a page without touching Core Web Vitals. Skip any one of those three and it usually will. ### Why SaaS Companies Need Explainer Videos to Onboard Users Faster URL: https://agency.degird.com/blog/why-saas-companies-need-explainer-videos Published: 2026-06-02 · Category: SaaS Growth · 3 min read A practical look at why short product explainer videos reduce onboarding friction for SaaS products, and how to brief an agency to make one well. Most SaaS products lose new users in the first few minutes after signup — not because the product is bad, but because the value isn't obvious fast enough. A well-made explainer video compresses that gap: instead of a new user reading a wall of documentation or clicking through an empty dashboard, they watch a 60–90 second video that shows exactly what the product does and why it matters to them. ## What an explainer video actually solves Explainer videos work because they combine three things text alone can't: motion, voice, and pacing. A feature that takes three paragraphs to explain in a help doc can be shown in five seconds of screen capture with a voiceover. That's not a stylistic preference — it directly affects how quickly a trial user reaches their "aha" moment, which is the single strongest predictor of whether they convert to a paid plan. ## Where explainer videos fit in the funnel There are three common placements, and they each need a different video: - **Landing page hero** — a 30–45 second video focused on the problem and the core value proposition. This one has to work with sound off, since most visitors won't unmute. - **Post-signup onboarding** — a 60–90 second walkthrough of the first action a new user should take, shown inside the product itself. - **Feature announcement** — a short, focused video for existing users when you ship something new, usually distributed by email or in-app. Trying to make one video do all three jobs is the most common mistake we see — a landing page video needs to sell the idea in seconds, while an onboarding video needs to teach a specific action. Conflating the two usually produces a video that's too long for the hero section and too vague for onboarding. ## Briefing an agency well The single biggest lever you have over the quality of the final video is the brief. Before reaching out to a motion or video team, have answers ready for: 1. Who is the video for — a first-time visitor, a trial user, or an existing customer? 2. What's the one action you want them to take after watching? 3. What does the product actually look like on screen — do you have clean screen recordings, or does the UI need to be recreated? If your product's UI changes frequently, ask for a motion system built around abstracted UI shapes rather than pixel-accurate screen recordings — it ages much better and won't need a full re-shoot after your next redesign. ## Measuring whether it worked Resist the urge to judge an explainer video purely on watch-through rate. The metric that matters is what happens *after* the video — activation rate for onboarding videos, trial-to-paid conversion for landing page videos, and feature adoption for announcement videos. A video with a mediocre completion rate that still moves those downstream numbers is doing its job. If you're scoping a video for your own product, our [SaaS & App Explainers](/services) service page walks through how we structure a typical engagement, from script to final export formats. --- ## Contact Email: hello@degird.com Start a project: https://agency.degird.com/contact Support: https://agency.degird.com/support Independent reviews: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/degird.com
